The Head of Marketing will provide leadership and co-ordination of the marketing function, at a strategic and operational level, bringing together and optimising the online and offline facets of the marketing function.

The HM will hold overall responsibility for leading, planning and executing consumer-facing campaigns which will leverage the full potential of Yvolution’s sales. This person will be responsible for driving growth in consumer acquisition and retention, both on and offline, and improve and maintain Yvolution’s competitive position in the market through developing a holistic approach to channel strategy and delivering scalable initiatives, plans and assets.

 

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Strategy Development/Execution (approx. 20% time)

Define and execute the Marketing and Digital Strategies across the Yvolution portfolio, taking into consideration the main distribution channels. The Head of Marketing will develop and direct cross-channel promotional programs based on an understanding of the business objectives. Collaborate with all stakeholders to manage the planning and timely execution of campaign strategies.

The Head of Marketing has full responsibility for the marketing budget.

Oversee the day-to-day implementation of the strategies

2. Online (approx. 25% time)

The Head of Marketing is responsible for enhancing our online presence, through the implementation of effective eCommerce solutions with the aim of driving more sales through innovative and creative social media and digital marketing strategies. All paid & organic channels (SEO, PR, paid search/ social, display, retargeting, email etc)

This position has ownership of the digital marketing budget, KPIs and forecasting, reporting at Board Level, and creating compelling cases for future investment.

3. Offline (approx. 25% time)

The Head of Marketing will review all offline marketing activities across various offline channels, including instore and POS.

Plan and organize marketing functions and operations (product development, branding, communications etc.), and ensure they project the company’s unique “voice”.

Ensure all marketing channel conversion rates are measured and optimised as needed.

This position has ownership of the offline marketing budget, KPIs and forecasting, reporting at Board Level, and creating compelling cases for future investment.

4. Market research (approx. 10% time)

Identifying trends in the market, particularly in electric and retail, sharing relevant insights and opportunities with the business.

Monitor our POS data vs our competitors’.

Keep abrest of new and emerging marketing techniques and channels.

5. Measurement of ROI (approx. 10% time)

Track and analyse the effectiveness of all marketing campaigns to determine ROI, evaluate costs, results and prioritise resources, optimising where needed to improve and reduce spend, and ensure continued success

6. Management (10% time)

Managing and developing a team of cross and multi-skilled marketers based across two of our main offices (Dublin and LA). Building a highly efficient and multi-talented team of marketing professionals.

Stepping up Yvolution’s retail marketing capabilities, focusing on Digital, eCommerce and Shopper Knowledge, including designing and delivering training programmes to upskill the Marketing function

 

NECESSARY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: Bachelor / Master in Marketing, Digital, eCommerce, or similar
Required Experience: 10+ years Marketing, with at least 5 years at Manager level at a relevant role. Demonstrated successful 5+ years digital/ecommerce experience. Increasingly complex and high responsibility roles

Other Skills:

  • Leading a team; excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
  • Superior project management skills with a keen eye for design (aesthetically and user-friendly speaking)
  • Knowledge of Omni-Channel components such as E-commerce, in-store POS, digital marketing campaigns, mass media, email etc.
  • Understanding of different business disciplines (IT, finance, sales etc.)

Travel: Approx. 10% of time (Trade Shows, buyer meetings)
